Well this jdrama caught my attention while surfing the net. . I think it was a unique love story since the boylead was a robot. One thing is.. the tittle "absolute boyfriend" makes me wonder what makes this robot boyfriend an absolute or perfect boyfriend. I searched the synopsis of the movie and just what I thought it was interesting so I decided to watch it after my busy straight weeks of clinical duty and lecture days.
The story is originally from manga series and was adapted into live action drama series. Rikko Izawa an unfortunate girl when it comes into lovelife constantly get dumped because guys think she's to serious and boring. Until Mr. Namikiri helps her out by persuading to be the girlfriend of androids which is design to love and eventually named.. Tenjo Night / 01 (Mokomichi Hayami.. a half filipino half japanese thanks for this drama I fell in love with him!) Rikko ends up receiving zero one on a package delivery with a manual on how to operate the cyborg. Zero one awaken by the kiss of Riiko.. Zero one recognize Riiko as her girlfriend and started to act out to fulfill his duty according to the program that Riiko chose about her ideal boyfriend. But after sometime Riiko fall in love with this robot but in denial to admit it into herself while she admire her boss Soshi Asamoto. She suppressed her feeling because of the fact that Night was just a robot. Night later in the story surpassed his program.. he develops a true feelings and genuine love for riiko that results into awakening of his own ego and own will. Until his body cannot tolerate the over functioning and his chips started to burn out. It was absolutely a wrong timing because just when Riiko decide to love night,gave up her dream to become a patissier and study in Paris and also turned her back to Soshi, Night also started to malfunction! T-T but Night tried his best to hide what is happening inside his metal body because he was worried for the repairing fee. He didnt want to be a burdened for Riiko and instead he gave Soshi a letter of request to take his place for taking care of Riiko because he knows that soon he will shut down.
